busnel is the recognised premium brand for calvados in top restaurants and bars around the world. a true aoc pays d'auge (the highest appellation in calvados), all the apples used must be grown exclusively in the pays d'auge, and in busnel's case from our locally approved famers who supply in all forty varieties, from this the famous cider making region of normandy . only the first juice from the pressing is used and fermented naturally into cider which is distilled twice in a copper pot still and aged in oak barrels for at least four years in the busnel cellars which hold the largest reserves of pays d'auge calvados in the region.
