cutty sark is made from a careful selection of over 20 single malt whiskies, predominantly from speyside (the cradle of single malt whisky distillation), which are expertly blended with top quality grain whiskies. cutty sark is matured in american oak casks which impart less colour to the spirit but give subtle and complex flavours. once matured, the malts are blended together, as are the grain whiskies, before they are married for a period of six months. the marrying process is a particular feature of cutty sark and ensures the final blend is harmonised and, therefore, consistent in colour and flavour.

the cutty Sark range includes cutty sark blended malt a high quality whisky with a classic speyside character thanks to the presence in the blend of award-winning single malt ‘the glenrothes. cutty sark blended malt is full-flavoured with a youthful speyside sweetness and a clean, dry finish.
