comte de lauvia is the second marque of marquis de montesquiou, and enjoys the same loving care and attention of jean claude dallas in his cellars in eauze. this brandy is distilled at a uniquely low strength to preserve more of its rustic character and matured in traditional casks of black oak from the local forests. since emporia introduced the range some ten years ago the armagnacs have won numerous medals and praise in recognition of the traditional, rich artisan character and gold colour with a warm, nutty aroma and spirity palate suggesting almonds and vanilla.

"This should warm the cockles with its tempting aroma and layers of prune, fig, wood and forest fruits. Sip and savour neat swirling it around in a large brandy glass." -
