pascal and marielle méli are a husband and wife team that came to the côtes de bourg in the 1980s with the aim of making high quality wines. their estate is a 16 ha plot located in the village of gauriac, at the very beginning of the gironde estuary in the heart of the bourg appellation. the vines are on south facing slopes, which get the maximum sun exposure and have good drainage. pesticides have not been used in the vineyards for over 6 years and great care is taken over the nurturing of each vine. the wines are matured in a quarter new french oak for 12 months before bottling.
