Since the very beginning, Gabriel Boudier established a reputation for the distillation of cirus fruits and in paticular, the Curaçao orange, which on account of its bitterness and orange notes enables them to obtain a liquer which is the basis for numerous cocktails.
Harvested when the first frost arrives, wild sloe berries from blackthorn bushes which gorw on limestone plateaus are left entirely to macerate in gin previously distilled at Maison Gabriel Boudier. All the aromas and colour of the flesh and the stones of the fruit are solubilised in the gin over a period of 5 weeks. Then a small amount of sugar is added to produce this traditional British liqueur.
