After harvesting, these apples will leave the orchards and cider will be made. The apples are the pride of Normandy; the temperature climate and the undulating meadows are ideal for the production of cider apples. Single distillation can be achieved through a column still or in a traditional pot still for double distillation, the first distillation is known as ‘petite eau’ and the second as ‘bonne chauffe’.
Père Magloire Héritage Extra Calvados is the age of maturity, the art of reaching its peak and revealing this Calvados Pays d’Auge. Its colour unveils a blend of 20 years old curvées, from the Appellation Calvados Pays d’Auge Contrôlée, twice distilled in traditional pot stills.
Nose: Subtle oak bark perfumes and tarte Tatin, liquorice and candied orange.
Palate: Roasted almond and sugar apple recalling the origin and taste of the terroir.
