The Gold RAckord 2022 - Create An Original Whiskey Drinkin’ Song

It came down to the final four in the Daddy Rack Tennessee Straight Whiskey’s Gold Rackord Songwriting Contest. Daddy Rack brought back its popular songwriting competition for another year to continue the hunt for the perfect, original whiskey songs to add to its collection. And they have chosen this year’s winner!

The Daddy Rack team and special judges had a hard time choosing the winner during a live show in Nashville on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar (220 Printers Alley, Nashville, TN 37201). After all of the finalists performed their songs, the winner of the contest was chosen through careful consideration. We are happy to announce Daniel Leathersich (“Whiskey Over”) as the Grand Prize Winner!

“I am beyond delighted with the enthusiastic response Daddy Rack Tennessee Straight Whiskey has had with this year’s Gold Rackord Songwriting Competition,” says J Arthur Rackham, Master Maker. “The variety of music submitted made it hard to choose the finalists, and even harder for our judges to choose the winner — Daniel Leathersich. I can feel the positive energy in his music. It helps tie the knot between Daddy Rack and the music scene in Nashville.”
